Tam Tams - a photoset on Flickr

This time of year I think of the Indian Summers in Montreal, and the fall colors and the people - this great Photoset brings back many happy memories....

Link: Tam Tams - a photoset on Flickr.

Every Sunday during Spring, Summer & Autumn, thousands of people from Montreal and all over the world decend onto Montreal's Mont Royal park to have fun.

The centre of it... a big thumping rythym of bongos and drums that eminates from the square. Free Spirited is the closest thing to compare.

These photos aim to capture the spirit and fun of the people who partake.

Part 1 of the Montreal food guide

Montreal is a gourmand’s paradise. Even simple restaurants do a great job of ingredient selection, food preparation, presentation and service. It’s also one of the last great bargains for Americans, due to the exchange rate. But you have to know where to look…..

Montreal Can’t miss sights Part 1

I lived in Montreal from 1995 to 1998. It’s one of my favorite cities in the world, but not in the Winter….A warm summer day at an outdoor café on Saint Denis can’t be beat. A few of my colleagues recently visited Montreal for the Extreme XML conference, and I sent them a mini-guide that they appreciated. They thought I should share it on my Blog. I’m posting it here as a series because it’s too long all in one go. Here’s part 1 of the sights….

In this mini-guide I’ve eschewed the regular recommendations that you can get at any concierge, Web site and tourist guide in the lobby of any hotel. Except for the ones that I recommend.
