It's 4 weeks to PACLUG 2011, June 21 22 at the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas. Don't forget to sign up Here. It's free but space is limited....
We have free official evening receptions and events scheduled for June 21 and 22, and I'm also planning a Vegas geek night on June 20 for those who can make it. As with any Geek's evening out in Las Vegas, the festivities will be 90 percent mental, and the other half will be physical (thanks and apologies to Yogi Berra)....
To be clear, I'm putting this together myself apart form the official PACLUG and View events, so it's pretty much guaranteed to be a completely unorganized, probably poorly planned event (aka the most fun)......I'm thinking we start around 7 PM at the hotel, and make our way to the Pinball Hall of Fame, one of the lesser known but coolest/geekiest places in town.
After that, we can make out way to one of the geek bars I described in my Geek's Guide to Vegas, probably the Revolution Lounge at the Mirage.
Next Stop will be the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, home of the History Channel's Pawn Stars, to check out the merchandise and see if we can see one of the guys.
After that I'm thinking the Insert Coins VideoLounge and Game Bar (side note - amazing they don't have their own Web site!).
Those who have survived this far and up for more, I'm thinking the nearby Dino's Lounge for Karaoke, where they have all the songs (and people) that Disney would never permit anywhere near Kimono's.....
So who's in? Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, time does not permit me to go. But good luck on this conference.

IF my flight gets me in there at a reasonable hour of the evening I will do it. Especially the Pinball museum. My poker buddies would like a picture from pawn stars I am sure as we watch it sometimes while playing.
See you there.

Sounds like a fun night, except the Karaoke :-). I'll try to be there.
